In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 111 calls for service and arrested 9 people.
Attempted Burglary – 201700004105 – 700 block of Newtowne Dr – 09/27 at 3am to 09/28 at 5:50am: The residents reported that at two different times unknown suspects attempted to enter their apartment through open windows. Each time the suspects were startled by the residents and fled before entering the home.
Donations for USVI and Puerto Rico
The Annapolis Police Department is collecting supplies for the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico following their devastation from Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Officers have family members who live on both islands. If you would like to contribute something that will be sent to help those island communities please go to our Facebook page and view the pinned post for suggested items. You can drop them off anytime until OCTOBER 4TH, at the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Tuesday, October 4 from 2pm to 4pm at Starbucks located at 124 Dock Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.
Citizen Fingerprinting
No citizen fingerprinting will be offered on Monday, October 9. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, October 16 at 6:30pm.
Neighborhood Safety Meeting
The next Neighborhood Safety meeting will be held, Wednesday, October 11 from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting. As always we will be going over the current crime trends in Annapolis. Food will be served so please RSVP to Corporal Amy Miguez at 410-268-9000 ext. 7261 or amiguez@annapolis.gov.
Howlin’ Hustle 5K
Join us at the 2017 Howlin’ Hustle, a 5K Walk/Run, presented by the Annapolis Police Department in support of Special Olympics Maryland. It is a 5K course around beautiful Annapolis on October 28th and is guaranteed to be a spooktackular good time. Registration will open at 6:30am and the 5K will begin at 7:30am.
