In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 355 calls for service and arrested 14 people.

Burglary – 201700004013 – 300 block of Sixth St – 09/21 at 10pm to 09/22 at 6am: A window to the business was forced open and the ATM machine was damaged, but no money was stolen.

Theft from Vehicle - 201700004015 – 1200 block of Tyler Av – 09/21 at 7:40pm to 09/22 at 7am: A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle – 201700004045 – Unit block of Winslow Ct – 09/23 at 9:30pm to 09/24 at 4:45pm: A Coach wallet style purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Tuesday, October 4 from 2pm to 4pm at Starbucks located at 124 Dock Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

Citizen Fingerprinting
No citizen fingerprinting will be offered on Monday, October 9. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, October 16 at 6:30pm.

Neighborhood Safety Meeting
The next Neighborhood Safety meeting will be held, Wednesday, October 11 from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting. Howlin’ Hustle 5K
Join us at the 2017 Howlin’ Hustle, a 5K Walk/Run, presented by the Annapolis Police Department in support of Special Olympics Maryland. It is a 5K course around beautiful Annapolis on October 28^th and is guaranteed to be a spooktackular good time. Registration will open at 6:30am and the 5K will begin at 7:30am. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership. For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
