In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 117 calls for service and arrested 9 people.

Stolen & Recovered Bicycle – 201700003883 – 1100 block of Tyler Av – 09/13 at 9:40pm: An unsecured child’s bicycle was stolen from the front yard of a home. The bicycle owner arrived home to see the suspect carrying the stolen bicycle while riding a bicycle. The owner caught up with the suspect at Forest Dr and Tyler Av and confronted him. The suspect abandoned both bicycles and fled into the 1300 block of Tyler Av.

Howlin’ Hustle 5K
Join us at the 2017 Howlin’ Hustle, a 5K Walk/Run, presented by the Annapolis Police Department in support of Special Olympics Maryland. It is a 5K course around beautiful Annapolis on October 28^th and is guaranteed to be a spooktackular good time. Registration will open at 6:30am and the 5K will begin at 7:30am. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
