201700003655-Theft from Vehicle-Unit block Dean St
On Aug 28^th at approx 5am the vehicle owner observed the interior light on in their vehicle. When the vehicle owner went to investigate they confronted a subject standing outside their residence. The subject fled when confronted and was unable to be located by responding officers. Loose change was taken from the vehicle that had been left unlocked.

201700003665-Shots Fired-1100 block Madison St

On Aug 28th at approx 9:30pm officers responded to 1100 block of Madison St for a report of several shot fired. While searching the area a bullet hole was located in a laundry room vent. However, it is unknown if this damage is a result of this incident or previous damage based upon the trajectory. Officers maintained a presence in the community for the duration of the night. A vehicle was later found to have sustained damage as well. The vehicle had been parked and unoccupied at the time the shots were fired. No victims or suspects were located.

201700003668-Attempted Theft from Vehicle-100 block Prince George St
Sometime between Aug 28^th at 9:45pm and Aug 29^th 8am unknown suspect rummaged through an apparently unlocked vehicle. There were no items of value inside the vehicle for the suspect to take.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
