Burglary Reported in Annapolis


On August 20th at 4:16 a.m. officers responded to a call for help from a home in the 100 block of Duke of Gloucester Street.  

The female resident reported that a male suspect forced open a door to the home and was still inside.  Officers arrived and began checking the home.  They located the suspect on the 3rd floor.  The suspect fled from the officers and jumped through a third floor window.  The suspect, a 22 year old man from Annapolis was apprehended after the fall.  He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.  He will be charged with burglary after his release from the hospital.  Once the suspect has been charged his name will be released.

During the incident an officer discharged his duty weapon.  No injuries occurred as a result of the discharging.   The circumstances of the discharge are under investigation.
