In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 119 calls for service and arrested 6 people.
Burglary – 201700002986 – 1100 block of Madison St – 07/18 at 7pm to 07/19 at 9:20am: The apartment was entered through an open window. Nothing was reported stolen, but a TV was damaged.
Theft from Vehicle – 201700003003 – 1700 block of Forest Dr – 07/19 from 7pm to 8pm: A wallet was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.
Possible Attempted Armed Robbery – 201700003008 – 1900 block of West St – 07/20 at 1:10am: An adult male employee was sitting in his vehicle after closing when he was approached by three male suspects wearing masks. One was holding a handgun. The victim drove away and called the police. The suspects were not located.
National Night Out – August 1, 2017
“National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.” – https://natw.org. As a part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations the Annapolis Police Department challenged the City of Annapolis Alderwomen, Aldermen, and residents in each Ward to organize a National Night Out event.
