In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 328 calls for service and arrested 15 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201700002909 – 600 block of Melvin Av – 07/15 from 12:15am to 12:30am: Vehicle was left for approximately 15 minutes with a Jimmy Choo black and gold clutch purse on the passenger seat. When the driver returned the vehicle’s window had been smashed and the purse stolen.

Burglary & Theft of Dirt Bike – 201700002939 – 700 block of Bay Ridge Av – 07/13 at 7:30am to 07/15 at 5pm: The locked door to a backyard shed was forced open and an orange 2014 KTM 250 XC-W dirt bike with blue decals was stolen.

National Night Out – August 1, 2017
“National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.” – https://natw.org. As a part of our 150^th Anniversary celebrations the Annapolis Police Department challenged the City of Annapolis Alderwomen, Aldermen, and residents in each Ward to organize a National Night Out event. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Please be assured that only your tip is communicated from Metro Crime Stoppers to the police department, not any identifying information about you. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. If you have crime or suspect information, please call, email, or use the P3 Tips smartphone app to submit your "tip". Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
