In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 126 calls for service and arrested 7 people.
Theft of Bicycle – 201700002847 – 400 block of Chinquapin Round Rd – 07/11 from 12:50pm to 1pm: A bicycle was stolen when it was left outside a business unsecured. Officers located David Hinton, 57, of Glen Burnie riding the bicycle on Oaklawn Av near Link St. Hinton was arrested and charged with the theft. He was also arrested on an unrelated warrant. Hinton is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. The bicycle was returned to the owner.
National Night Out – August 1, 2017
“National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.” – https://natw.org. As a part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations the Annapolis Police Department challenged the City of Annapolis Alderwomen, Aldermen, and residents in each Ward to organize a National Night Out event.
