June 17 – 150^th Anniversary Open House – APD, 199 Taylor Avenue

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 115 calls for service and arrested 4 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201700002288 – 500 block of Taylor Av – 06/06 from 8:45am to 10:20am: Eight silver 2.5 gallon Badger fire extinguishers were stolen from the open bed of a pick up truck.

Theft of Bicycle – 201700002363 – 1500 block of West St – 06/09 at 8am to 06/10 at 9am: A black Trek bicycle and a silver Nishiki bicycle were stolen from the front porch of a home.

Rogue and Vagabond – 201700002413 – 300 block of Saddle Ridge Rd - 06/14 at 12:30am: At 1:15am a resident reported their video surveillance system captured a male suspect opening the door of an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

APD 150^th Anniversary Open House
On Saturday, June 17^th from 12pm to 3pm the Annapolis Police Department will host an Open House at 199 Taylor Avenue. Come meet the police officers serving your community, watch a K-9 demonstration, learn more about your local Police Department and enjoy an afternoon filled with fun. There will be children’s activities as well as giveaways and food! We will have a presentation of our 150th Anniversary plaque as well as the announcing the two winners of our new APD Scholarship.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Please be assured that only your tip is communicated from Metro Crime Stoppers to the police department, not any identifying information about you. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. If you have crime or suspect information, please call, email, or use the P3 Tips smartphone app to submit your "tip". Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership. For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
