In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 130 calls for service and arrested 6 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201700002210 – 1300 block of President St – 05/31 at 7am to 06/01 at 3:45am: A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Burglary – 201700002289 – Unit block of Bunche St – 06/06 at 9am: The adult male victim reported that a male suspect he knows from the neighborhood stole his vehicle after taking the key from the residence. The victim reported that the suspect, later identified as Jose Guevara-Bolano, 22, of Annapolis, knocked on the residence door. When the door was opened Guevara-Bolano reached inside and stole the keys to a vehicle parked outside. Guevara-Bolano got into the vehicle and drove away. A short time later, officers discovered the stolen vehicle parked in the 400 block of Captains Circle. Guevara-Bolano was sitting outside near by and had the keys to the vehicle still in his possession. Guevara-Bolano was arrested and charged with burglary, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft, and unauthorized removal of property. He is being held on $3,000 bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.

There is no citizen fingerprinting offered on Monday, 06/12. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 06/19, at 6:30pm.
APD 150th Anniversary Open House
On Saturday, June 17th from 12pm to 3pm the Annapolis Police Department will host an Open House at 199 Taylor Avenue. Come meet the police officers serving your community, watch a K-9 demonstration, learn more about your local Police Department and enjoy an afternoon filled with fun. There will be children’s activities as well as giveaways and food! We will have a presentation of our 150th Anniversary plaque as well as the announcing the two winners of our new APD Scholarship.
