In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 105 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201700002228 – Unit block of Sailors Way – 06/01 from 7pm to 11pm: On 06/01 at 11pm officers were in the area of President St when they saw Daven Lewis, 26, of Annapolis walk on to Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) property. Lewis is banned from HACA property and had been arrested in a stolen vehicle earlier that day. Officers made contact with Lewis and arrested him for trespassing. Officers located an Apple iPod in one of Lewis’s pockets. Officers were able to determine that the iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the unit block of Sailors Way. Lewis was charged with trespassing, rogue and vagabond, and theft. He was released by the District Court Commissioner without bond.

There is no citizen fingerprinting offered on Monday, 06/12. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 06/19, at 6:30pm.
APD 150th Anniversary Open House
On Saturday, June 17th from 12pm to 3pm the Annapolis Police Department will host an Open House at 199 Taylor Avenue. Come meet the police officers serving your community, watch a K-9 demonstration, learn more about your local Police Department and enjoy an afternoon filled with fun. There will be children’s activities as well as giveaways and food! We will have a presentation of our 150th Anniversary plaque as well as the announcing the two winners of our new APD Scholarship.
