In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 170 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Good News – On 05/24 Troy Peace, 28, of Baltimore was arrested for the aggravated assault that occurred on 05/17 in the 1100 block of Madison St. On 05/17 at 9:15pm officers responded for a report of an assault and located a 16 year old male victim suffering from multiple injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Detectives investigated this crime and quickly determined this assault stemmed from an ongoing dispute. They identified Troy Peace as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for him on 05/18. Peace was located on 05/24 in Baltimore and arrested. Peace is charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
Stolen Vehicle – 201700002089 – 600 block of Tripp Creek Ct – 05/23 at 7:30pm to 05/24 at 7am: A black 1999 Honda Civic two door, MD reg. 55920CF, was stolen.
Theft from Vehicle – 201700002100 – 100 block of Holeclaw St – 05/23 at1:15am to 05/24 at 11:30am: A motorcycle battery was stolen from the trunk of an unlocked vehicle.
Annapolis Traffic Delays Expected May 26

City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City government offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. For more information visit https://www.annapolis.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=266. There is no citizen fingerprinting offered on Monday, 05/29, Monday, 06/05, and Monday, 06/12. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 06/19 at 6:30pm.
Memorial Day Parade
The Annapolis Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, 05/29, at 10am. The parade will follow the traditional route from Amos Garrett Boulevard on West Street around Church Circle, down Main Street, and ends at the City Dock. Roads will be closed during the parade. The Annapolis Police Department will be marching in the parade to honor and remember those who have died serving our country.
APD 150th Anniversary Open House
On Saturday, June 17th from 12pm to 3pm the Annapolis Police Department will host an Open House at 199 Taylor Avenue. Come meet the police officers serving your community, watch a K-9 demonstration, learn more about your local Police Department and enjoy an afternoon filled with fun. There will be children’s activities as well as giveaways and food! We will have a presentation of our 150th Anniversary plaque as well as the announcing the two winners of our new APD Scholarship.
