In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 119 calls for service and arrested 3 people.

Aggravated Assault – 201700001990 – 1100 block of Madison St – 05/17 at 9:15pm: Officers responded for a report of an assault and located a 16 year old male victim suffering from multiple injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. Detectives continue to investigate this assault, they believe the victim was stabbed over an ongoing dispute.

Mayor Appoints New Police Chief
Annapolis, MD (5-17-17) Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announced his nomination for Annapolis Police Chief and has requested his confirmation at the Monday, May 22nd City Council meeting. Mayor Pantelides has appointed Acting Chief Scott Baker to the position. You can view the complete press release on the city website.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Please be assured that only your tip is communicated from Metro Crime Stoppers to the police department, not any identifying information about you. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. If you have crime or suspect information, please call, email, or use the P3 Tips smartphone app to submit your "tip". Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
