In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 112 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Assault & Burglary – 201700001729 – 600 block of Cutter Ct – 05/01 at 8:30am: The adult female victim awoke to noises in her home and discovered Rondell Johnson, 30, of Annapolis inside her home. Johnson is known to the victim and possibly entered the home through a second story window. Johnson and victim argued and then Johnson struck the victim in the face. Johnson strangled the victim twice causing the victim to almost pass out. The victim got free and ran to the front door, shouting to people outside to call the police, which they did. Johnson caught up to her and strangled her a third time, only stopping when officers arrived. Johnson was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault, first, third, and fourth degree burglary, and false imprisonment. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
Citizen Fingerprinting Cancelled
