Theft from Vehicle – 201700001173 – Unit block of Monument St – 03/17 at 5pm to 03/18 at 1pm:  A prescription for medication was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department.  When you text, phone in, or submit your Annapolis crime tip online Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department.  No identifying information is ever forwarded to us.  Please be assured that only your tip is communicated from Metro Crime Stoppers to the police department, not any identifying information about you.  Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations.  If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers.  If you have crime or suspect information, please call, email, or text your "tip" to the following: Metro Crime Stoppers Hotline available 24-hours a day Toll FREE 1-866-7LOCKUP or TEXT "MCS" plus your message to CRIMES (274637) or visit www.metrocrimestoppers.org.

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
