Go through your closets, basements and garages – your clutter may be someone else’s treasure! Make money at our community-wide Rummage Sale. One table and two chairs are provided for the table rate or bring your own table and chairs for a reduced rate. Held outdoors in the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center parking lot. NEW Youth Rhythm & Hip Hop K-2nd at Stanton
A popular class at PMRC now brought to the Stanton Center – jazz & hip-hop moves to keep kiddos on their toes! Students will learn to dance in a group setting and develop different combinations as well dance moves to develop individual personal style. This class is a great learning environment to acquire rhythm and beat. Rhythm & Hip Hop is geared for elementary school age students (kindergarten through second grade.) Tennis Instruction for all ages – Free program held on Saturdays & Sundays, for ages 5-17, parents & adults!
Learn to play tennis this spring! Come out for this FREE Drop-In Tennis program at the Truxtun Tennis Courts this Saturday and Sunday (May 20 and May 21) from 4 to 5:30 pm. Register on site. Racquet and balls are provided. Classes may be canceled due to inclement weather or wet courts. These free clinics are provided by the Tennis Alliance of Anne Arundel County in partnership with Annapolis Recreation and Parks. Scholarship Program for all City Residents (youth and adults)
The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD) maintains a Scholarship Fund for youth and adults who are City of Annapolis residents who do not have the financial means to participate in fee-based ARPD recreational programs, memberships and pool passes (scholarship funds cannot be used for facility rentals, before/after school child care and “co-sponsored” programs.) Scholarships are awarded by means of account credit, and may or may not cover the entire cost of the program(s). Details about the ARPD Scholarship Program and how to apply can be found online.
CAMPS
Registration continues for all camps as space allows. Camps run between June 19 and August 25. All camps are listed on pages 8 and 9 of the Summer 2023 Program Guide.

- Summer Kick Off Basketball Camp Age 6-12
The summer kick-off camp is designed to start off summer break right with exciting basketball clinics for campers! This camp offers a number of basketball drills and competitions led by ARPD staff, plus swimming at the pool! Held at PMRC and Dunn Municipal Pool.

Train to be your favorite superhero by learning strength, agility, balance and speed! This JumpBunch camp introduces participants to special training skills known in the world of superheroes, such as jumping over hot lava, dodging fireballs, light-saber training, scooter flying, ghostbuster tag and much more! Being a superhero means having compassion for society, a kind heart and a willingness to do good and help others - these qualities are discussed to encourage real life superhero actions. Superhero crafts are made each day. Please pack a snack and water bottle, apply sunscreen and have your child dressed in active wear clothing and shoes. Held at Collison Field.

- SPORTS Camp with JumpBunch Age 4-6 (must be entering Kindergarten)
Does your child love recess? Then this is the camp for them! JumpBunch is a non-competitive camp for children that introduces a wide range of sports and games in a fun, positive manner. JumpBunch encourages healthy habits, improved coordination and confidence. Each day a different sports theme is presented that incorporates the sport and alongside craft activities. Camp themes may include football, soccer, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, corn hole and/or obstacle courses. Your child will be exhausted and at pick-up each day! Participants should bring a snack and drink every day. Held at Collison Field.

Swim Lessons – There are more than 40 swim lessons for children, teens and adults offered this summer! Please refer to pages 4 and 5 in the Summer 2023 Program Guide for the specific classes for registration.
Youth Swim Lessons All youth swim lessons are 30 minutes with no more than six children per class. Held for four weeks (8 classes). In case of inclement weather, with no guarantee, all efforts are put forth to make up canceled lessons. No refunds. R $48 / NR $60
For children who need to learn basic water adjustment skills including full submersion, open eyes underwater, blowing bubbles, front and back float, jumping into and climbing out of the pool.
For children who are comfortable in the water and underwater. Children progress with independent swimming skills including front and back float, change from vertical to horizontal position on front and back, front and black glide kicking, tread water for 30 seconds, underwater swimming, introduction to rotary swimming, front crawl and backstroke.
- Advanced Beginner Age 6-12
For children who have successfully completed Beginner 2. This class builds on fundamental skills learned in Beginner 2. Some of the skills worked on are rhythmic breathing with front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and diving.
Teen Swim Lessons Age 13-17 All teen swim lessons are 30 minutes with no more than six teens per class. Held for eight weeks (once a week.) In case of inclement weather, with no guarantee, all efforts are put forth to make up canceled lessons. No refunds. R $ 48 / NR $60
Class taught in the recreation pool (4 feet).
Class taught in the lap pool (5 feet).
Adult Swim Lessons Age 18+ Must be comfortable in 5 feet of water. Maximum six participants per class. Class meets once a week for 8 weeks. R $ 48 / NR $60
Participants learn how to go under water, float on their belly and their back.
Must be comfortable in 5 feet of water, going under water and floating on belly and back.
Water Aerobics All classes $5 per person.
Morning Age 18+
This deep-water class is a great interval workout in the pool with high energy no impact workouts. Participants use dumb bells, noodles and Kiefer Konno Wonderboards in this class to travel around the deep end. This class incorporates upper and lower body muscles simultaneously. Participants must be comfortable in depth of water 5 to 10 feet. Held daily except for Saturdays.
