NEW Workaholic Pickleball Age 18+
Can’t make it in the morning? ARPD hasn’t forgotten about working adults! Wednesday evenings are dedicated to folks who work during the day and still want the opportunity to play pickleball! There are three nets set up for open play, but you must provide your own equipment. FREE for PMRC members / Daily drop-in fee for non-members. PMRC Aux Gym, 8 weeks.

NEW Men’s Basketball League Age 17+
A new offering for spring! This NCAA-sanctioned league is fastpaced, high-quality recreational basketball - a great opportunity for the men’s teams to mesh before the start of the Men’s Summer Basketball League. Games are held indoors at PMRC every Friday night for 8 weeks of play, including play-offs. Must provide your own jerseys. Team registration only; referee fees not included with registration. NEW Volleyball League with Peake Social Age 21+
ARPD volleyball powered by Peake Social is bringing back the adult volleyball league this spring. This “B” level of play is perfect for making new friends and keeping your skills sharp! ARPD provides the equipment, score table and referees. Held for 7 weeks (6 weeks of games, plus one playoff week.) NEW Table Tennis w/BATT Age 18+
ARPD has collaborated with Bay Area Table Tennis (BATT) to provide space and instructions to adults to learn and play table tennis at the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center. Fencing Age 7-18
Try something new this spring or continue your form with fencing! Participants learn the basics of fencing including rules, fundamentals and footwork which helps improve skills for other sports. Equipment is provided except for required gloves that can be purchased from the instructor during the first class. Annapolis Baseball League Age 3-12
Annapolis Recreation and Parks is bringing back ABL this spring - plan to get back out on the diamond to play some ball! This recreational and comprehensive program is for local kids to learn and develop baseball skills. Some jerseys & equipment are available and umpires are covered with the fee. Team registration only. Teams consist of Annapolis and Greater Annapolis elementary and middle schoolers to unite diverse communities by bringing all neighborhoods together. Any private rec team is invited to play! All practices and games are held on Truxtun Park ballfields every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday starting March 21.

NEW Flag Football League Age PreK-12th Grade
Youth flag football! Bring your team or sign up individually. Equipment provided for this fun and exciting inaugural league. Two weeks of practice followed by 8 weeks of games, including play-off games (9 weeks total with 6 games guaranteed.) Played at Germantown 1, Bates Upper Aux Field or Bates Stadium Field. SUMMER CAMPS
Registration is underway for all camps held this summer between June 19 and August 25. All camps are listed on pages 8 and 9 of the Spring 2023 Program Guide. Please go to the Camp Forms page to fill out what’s applicable for the camps you would like to register for.
Generally speaking, the different camps break down as follows:
- Summer Kick Off (age 6-12) held June 19-23
- Camp Annapolis held June 26-August 18 for two-weeks sessions
- Sprouts (age 4-6)
- Explorers (age 7-9)
- Pioneers (age 10-12)
- Community Enrichment held June 26-August 18 for eight weeks
- Mini (age 4-5
- Cadet (age 6-8)
- Splash (age 7-14) held June 26-August 18 for one-week sessions
- End of Summer (age 6-12) held August 21-25
Child Care registration for the 2023-2024 school year begins as follows:
- Returning Families – Wednesday, April 5
- New Families – Wednesday, April 12

Scholarship Program for all City Residents (youth and adults)
The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD) maintains a Scholarship Fund for youth and adults who are City of Annapolis residents who do not have the financial means to participate in fee-based ARPD recreational programs, memberships and pool passes as long as applicable and approved. (Scholarship funds cannot be used for facility rentals, before/after school child care and “co-sponsored” programs.) Scholarships are awarded by means of account credit, and may or may not cover the entire cost of the program(s). Details about the ARPD Scholarship Program and how to apply can be found online.
