Annapolis Police Investigating Fatal Accident

Officers from the Annapolis Police Department Traffic Safety Unit are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian. 

On 1/29/2023 at approximately 6:12pm, officers responded to the area of route 665 and Chinquapin Round Road for a fatal accident involving a pedestrian. The adult female pedestrian has died from her injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Route 665 towards Forest Drive will be shut down for an extended period of time. 

This is an active investigation, the identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
