23-2120 Fatal Hit and Run accident -Unit block of Hilltop Lane

On 1/24/2023 at approximately 10:08 pm officers responded to the unit block of Hilltop Lane for a "Hit and run pedestrian struck". Upon arrival officers observed the victim lying in the roadway unresponsive. Annapolis Fire Department responded and attempted life saving measures but the victim unfortunately died at the scene. Annapolis Police Department Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The striking vehicle failed to remain on scene. The adult male victim has been identified however we are not releasing that information until proper next of kin notifications are made.

If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
