23-001425- Theft from auto- 1800 block of Margaret Ave

On 1/18/2023 at approximately 9:30am, officers responded to the 1800 block of Margaret Ave. in reference to a theft from an auto report. The store manager advised that the catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle belonging to the business. The theft was believed to have occurred sometime overnight.

23-00142-Theft from auto- 1000 block of Van Buren St

On 1/18/2023 at approximately 9:11am, officers responded to the 1000 block of Van Buren St for a reported theft from an auto. The owner of the vehicle advised that someone stole the license plates from his vehicle sometime overnight.

23-1438- Theft- 100 block of Main St

On 1/18/2023 at approximately 1:47pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Main Street for a reported theft. The victim advised that someone stole his laptop from the business. The victim left the laptop on a countertop in the business and walked away from it briefly. When the victim returned to retrieve the laptop it was no longer there. The laptop was described as a Microsoft Surface 9 with a detached keyboard. Total loss value was $900.00.

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
