23-0388- Theft from auto- Unit block of Juliana Cr
On 1/5/2023 at approximately 12:25pm, officers responded to the unit block of Juliana Circle for a reported theft from an auto. The victim advised that her 2016 BMW was ransacked sometime overnight and $10.00 was stolen from the vehicle.

23-0384- Burglary- 700 block of Annapolis Neck Rd
On 1/5/2023 at approximately 11:15am, officers responded to the 700 block of Annapolis Neck Rd for a reported burglary. The victim advised that someone broke into his garage and stole the electronics from his boat.

23-0358- Theft- 1000 block of Bay Ridge Ave
On 1/5/2023 at approximately 6:31am, officers responded to the 1000 block of Bay Ridge Ave for a reported theft. The store manager advised that a subject stole laundry detergents and body soaps from the business. The subject left the store and was last seen walking towards President Street. Total loss value to the business was $242.71.

23-0395- Theft- Unit block of Gibralter Ave
On 1/5/2023 at approximately 3:21pm, officers responded to the unit block of Gibralter Ave for a reported theft. The manager of the business advised that a subject entered through a garage door and stole a chainsaw. The chainsaw was valued at $521.84.

23-357- Theft from auto- Unit block of Juliana Cr
On 1/5/2023 at approximately 12:00pm, officers responded to the unit block of Juliana Circle for a reported theft from an auto. The victim said that his 2004 Dodge was broken into and several items were stolen. The stolen items included a laptop, Apple Air Tag and several charging cords. Total loss value to the victim was $22.00.

23-00417-Theft- 1300 block of Forest Drive

On 1/5/2023 at approximately 8:15pm, officers responded to the 1300 block of Forest Drive for a reported theft. The manager of the business advised that a subject entered the store and stole a 12 pack of Corona beer. Total loss value to the business was $18.25.


23-00435-Theft- Unit block of Water Street

On 1/5/2023 at approximately :1035pm, officers responded to the unit block of Water Street for a reported theft. The victim advised that someone stole her B-Twin decathlon bicycle. The bike was chained to the porch railing in front of the victims residence at the time of the theft. The bike had a value of approximately $350.00.


UPDATE-

On 12/30/22 at approximately 9:25pm, on Chesapeake Ave near or at the intersection with State St a vehicle struck a 61 year old Annapolis man and severely injured him. We are asking for the assistance of the public in identifying the vehicle in the photo. If you have information regarding this vehicle please contact Officer D. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
