22-26196 - Attempted Armed Carjacking - 100 block of Brightwater Dr. 

On 12/10/22 at approximately 7:00pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Bywater Road for a reported attempted armed carjacking. The victim said that two masked men forced him from his vehicle at gunpoint. The two suspects attempted to take the vehicle but were unable to operate it. The two fled on foot towards Greenbriar Lane. The victim was not injured and no property was taken. 


22-26230 - Home Invasion - Unit block of  Hicks Avenue

On 12/11/22 at approximately 11:48am, officers responded to the unit block of Hicks Avenue for a robbery that just occurred. Investigation revealed that the suspect  entered the home and demanded money from the victim . During a struggle between the two, the suspect stabbed the victim in the forehead with a knife, causing a laceration. The suspect then fled with the victim's Michael Kors purse, which contained currency and a bank card. The victim was transported to an area trauma center with non life threatening injuries. 


22-26237 - Residential Burglary - 1900 block of Copeland Street - 

On 12/11/22 at approximately 1:14pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Copeland Street for a reported burglary. The victim said that the unknown suspect made forced entry into his home. Nothing was reported missing from the residence.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
