22-17584- Theft from auto-100 block of West St.
On 8/16/2022 at approximately 3:47pm, officers responded to the 100 block of West Street for a reported theft from auto. The victim advised that he returned to his 2012 Toyota Camry, he observed that the vehicle had been rummaged through and several items were stolen. 
Items stolen were: (3) various pairs of Under Armour shoes, (5) pairs of black Nike shoes , (1) pair of white New Balance shoes, (2) black Nike duffle bags, (1) Under Armour black backpack, various men's clothing, and (1) pair of black Ray Ban brand sunglasses.


22-17591 - Home Invasion - 200 block of Farragut Ct.

On 8/16/2022 at approximately 6:10pm, officers responded to the 200 block of Farragut Court for a reported home invasion. The victim advised that her ex boyfriend forced his way into her apartment. Once inside he threw her to the bed and attempted to strangle her. Family members were able to intervene and push the suspect off of the victim. The suspect took the victim's cell phone and fled the scene prior to officers arrival. 


22-17610 -  Shots fired- Madison St./ President St.

On 8/16/2022 at approximately 12:14am, officers responded to the area of Madison Street and President Street for reports of shots fired in the area. Officers checked the area extensively but did not locate anything that supported the report.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
