22-14508-Armed Robbery- Newtowne Drive

On 7/6/22 at approximately 8:36pm, officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred on Newtowne Drive. The victim who was working for Door Dash said he was robbed at gunpoint by several unknown male subjects. As the victim was pulled to the side of the roadway he was approached by the subjects who were brandishing handguns. The subjects entered the victim's vehicle and stole his wallet , iPhone 13 and approximately $600.00. The victim was not injured and the subjects were not located.

22-14525-Vehicle theft- 200 block of Boxwood Road

On 7/7/22 at approximately 1:33am, officers responded to the 200 block of Boxwood Road for a reported vehicle theft. The victim said that her Honda Pilot was stolen sometime between 8:00pm on 7/6 and 12:00am on 7/7. The vehicle was later located by Anne Arundel County Police.

No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
