Shooting Suspect Arrested
On 6/2/22 at approximately 12:14pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Fairfax Road for a reported shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was treated by paramedics on scene and later airlifted to an area trauma center in stable condition.
On 6/2/22 David Antonio Mayen (DOB 8/8/98) was arrested for the shooting. Mayen has been charged with attempted 1st degree murder, attempted 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a violent crime along with other handgun charges.
Mayen is currently being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center without bond.
