22-10326 - Bank Robbery - 900 block of Bay Ridge Rd.

On 5/15/2022 officers responded to the 900 block of Bay Ridge Road for a reported bank robbery that just occurred. An unknown male suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note announcing a robbery. The teller complied and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect.

22-10354 - Burglary - 100 block of New Vernon St.

On 5/18/2022 officers responded to the 100 block of New Vernon Street for a reported burglary. The home owner advised that an unknown person made forced entry into her home while she was at work. The suspect stole two video game consoles, 60" TV and money.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
