22-7257 - 1st Degree Assault - West St/W. Washington St
On 4/5/22 at approximately 5:12am, officers responded to the intersection of West Street and West Washington Street for a reported assault. A female victim was located and bleeding from the head. The victim advised that she was assaulted by another female who she is familiar with. The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

22-07309-Theft/Warrant service - Unit block of West St

On 4/5/22 at approximately 9:26pm, officers responded to the unit block of West Street for a reported theft. Officers met with the manager of the business who advised a female later identified as Amber Morgan (08/20/82) had been in the bar for several hours and accumulated a $92.42 tab. Morgan stated she was unable to pay the tab and told officers that she had planned on "running out" on the tab. A check of Morgan revealed she had an active warrant for 4th degree burglary. Morgan was placed into custody for the warrant and also issued a criminal citation for theft less than $100.00.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
