City of Annapolis Declares April “Flood Awareness Month”
April is the second Maryland Flood Awareness Month, as proclaimed by Governor Larry Hogan. All month, City of Annapolis social media channels will feature tips to help residents and businesses to be proactive in protecting themselves by: preparing their homes and workplaces, developing an emergency plan, and knowing what to do when a flood is approaching.
Hillman Garage Rebuild to Begin; Will Close to Parking Later in April
Crews have begun preliminary work to rebuild Annapolis’ downtown Noah Hillman Garage. During the preliminary phase, the garage will remain open. The work will involve staging safety equipment, installing construction fencing, surveying, and initial removal work. In a few weeks, the garage will close to parking for 14 months for a total rebuild. Residents and visitors to Annapolis are reminded that, during construction, downtown Annapolis will remain open.
Spring Forward to New Opportunities 2022 Job Fair
Join the City of Annapolis, Maryland Department of Labor, and the Maryland Department of Education's Division of Rehabilitation Services on Thursday, April 28, from 10:00 am–1:00 pm for a New Opportunities Job Fair at the Roger "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center (273 Hilltop Lane, Annapolis). Employment opportunities and resources for the community will be available.
