22-7031 - 600 block of Taylor Ave - Shooting

On 4-2-22 at approximately 3:13am, officers responded to a business located in the 600 block of Taylor Ave for a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, no clerk was to be found in the business. Evidence that a shooting took place was located outside of the business. Through investigative means detectives learned that an altercation took place between an employee of the business and at least two patrons of the business. No injuries or property damage was reported in relation to this incident. Detectives are currently investigating this shooting.

22-7077 - 700 block of Newtowne Dr- - Burglary

On 4-2-22 at approximately 8:28pm, officers responded to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive for a reported assault that just occurred. A resident advised that she was assaulted by a female known to her. Officers were told that the suspected female began banging on the victims door and when she finally opened it the suspect pushed her way into the residence. Once inside the residence the suspect assaulted the victim. The victim sustained a swollen lip due to the assault but did not require medical attention.

22-7106 - 700 block of Newtowne Dr - Shots Fired

On 4-3-22 at approximately 3:30am, officers heard what they believed to be shots fired coming from the area of Newtowne Dr. Officers responded to the area to investigate the shots fired. Responding officers located the area where the shots were fired and collected evidence. No injuries or property damage was reported.

No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
