22-6527- Burglary- Unit block of Bates St.
On 3/25/22 at approximately 9:39am, officers responded to the unit block of Bates Street in reference to a burglary. The Property Manager advised that an unknown subject kicked in the back door of a vacant dwelling. Officers noticed that the back door frame sustained significant damage. Unknown subject then removed two closet doors and wedged them between the back door and the wall to secure the broken door.

22-6650-Theft- 100 block of Hillsmere Dr
On 3/27/22 at approximately 2:48pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Hillsmere Drive in reference to shoplifting that occurred approximately one hour prior. Upon arrival, the manager advised that at approximately 2:25pm, she reviewed video and noticed a suspect enter the store grab a twelve pack of Angel Soft Toilet paper, placed it under his left arm, and exited the store having passed all points of sale. Total loss value to the business was $5.00.

22-6673 Shots Fired- 1300 block of Tyler Ave.

On 3/27/22 at approximately 8:25pm, officers responded to the 1300 block of Tyler Ave. for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival officers did locate evidence that shots had been previously fired in the area. No property damage or victims were located.

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
