Spring Softball Leagues Age 18+ – registration deadline is this Friday, March 25Organized recreational slo-pitch leagues governed by ASA Rules. Team registration ONLY. However, if you are a single player looking for a team please contact
LaKeisha Simmons to get on a free agent roster. Teams are required to have matching uniforms with numbers. All teams will have one practice week, followed by 10 weeks of play. Schedules will not go beyond June 30. To register a team the deadline is Friday, March 25. Email LaKeisha Simmons at

Soccer Shots Age 2-5 – space still available in three classes!Committed to providing a positive experience for your child, Soccer Shots uses an expert-approved curriculum to teach new character words and skills each week to young learners in a fun environment. The spring Soccer Shots program is held for 10 weeks at Collison Field in Truxtun Park. Each class is 30 minutes. The spring session started last Saturday (March 19) and runs through Saturday, May 21 (no sessions Memorial Day weekend; make-up date Saturday, June 4.) There is still space in the following three classes:
Mini Age 2-3
High-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active.
Classic Age 3-5
Use creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.
Camp Registration begins next Monday, March 28. General Camp Information can be found online as well as the Camp Forms. Maryland Safe Boating Course Age 12+ – upcoming class is next Saturday, April 2!A great parent-child opportunity to learn the “rules of the road” on the water together! Prepare for summer 2022 by taking this course that covers legal requirements, navigation rules, preparation and trailers, accidents, weather and water conditions, water sports, sailing and personal watercraft safety. The Maryland Safe Boating Course is an eight-hour course and test that satisfies Maryland law for local people to operate any motorized boat in Maryland waters.
Annapolis Recreation and Parks is offering five course dates this spring! All classes are one-day each from 8 am to 5 pm at the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center. Participants need to bring food and drinks for the 30-minute lunch break.
Cost is $25 per participant. You must be pre-registered to attend. This course is for age 12+ but those ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Instructor: Gerry Young.

We will share information about recreation, parks and the City’s Harbormaster while in turn we would like to hear from you! This event is open for all ages to attend.
Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Night –
Saturday, April 9, 8-10 pm, PMRC parking lotOne thousand eggs are filled with “eggcellent prizes” including golden eggs worth $50 values or more! Bring a basket and a flashlight. Meet in the "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center parking lot by Ballfield #1. Age 18+ only (sorry, no children). Bring a basket and a flashlight. Proceeds benefit the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Scholarship Fund. Rain Date is Sunday, April 10th (same time and place). Register using code #2122. Ways to register:

Sweet Satisfaction will be on site that night with their food truck full of sweet treat desserts! Parent & Tot Gymnastics Age 12-36 months with parentsParents will accompany and assist their young children through activities focusing on basic motor skills such as crawling, walking, jumping, grip strength and balance. Parent participation is required during every class.
For the daily drop-in rate, a waiver is required. Instructor: Leandra Parkinson, held in the PMRC Aux Gym.

Child Care registration ongoing as space allows – Child care for the current academic year is held before and after school at Annapolis, Germantown, Hillsmere, Mills-Parole and West Annapolis elementary schools.
AM Care is $117 per month and PM Care is $222 per month.
All registration must be done in person at PMRC (sorry, online registration is not available for childcare.) There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee. For more information, please contact LaKeisha Simmons at

Information on the 2022-2023 school year will be announced by April. Please keep in mind that monthly rates will change for AM and PM care as a result of AACPS adjusting the start and end times of the school day starting in the fall. Scholarship Program for all City Residents (youth and adults)The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD) maintains a Scholarship Fund for youth and adults who are City of Annapolis residents who do not have the financial means to participate in fee-based ARPD recreational programs, memberships and pool passes as long as applicable and approved. (Scholarship funds cannot be used for facility rentals, before/after school child care and “co-sponsored” programs.) Scholarships are awarded by means of account credit, and may or may not cover the entire cost of the program(s). Details about the ARPD Scholarship Program and how to apply can be found
