22-6308- Theft- 200 block of Main Street
On 3/22/22 at approximately 11:35am, officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street in reference to a theft. An employee of the business advised that an unknown female entered the business and stole three pairs of sunglasses before running out of the store without paying for the glasses.
Later in the day at approximately 4:00pm, the same female again entered the business and stole ten pairs of sunglasses. The female again ran from the store but responding officers were able to locate her and take her into custody after a brief foot chase. The suspect was identified as Natalia Tay- Veaira Goodman, Goodman was charged accordingly. Total loss value to the business was $7,650.00.
22-6321- Theft- 900 block of Bay Ridge Road
On 3/22/22 at approximately 1:42pm, officers responded to a business located in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Road for a reported theft. The manager of the business advised that three men exited the store with two grocery carts full of laundry detergents without paying. The men were last seen leaving the area in a vehicle and were not located. Total loss value to the business was $577.94.
22-6320-Theft- 100 block of Hillsmere Drive
On 3/22/22 at approximately 1:50pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Hillsmere Drive for a reported theft. The store manager advised that a female left the store after stealing several items having a total value of $24.36. The female left the area of foot and was not located.
22-6353- Home Invasion -200 block of S. Southwood Avenue
On 3/23/22 at approximately 3:49am, officers responded to the 200 block of South Southwood Ave. for a reported home invasion. The suspect fled from the home prior to officers arriving but was located nearby during an area canvass. According to the victim the suspect entered through the rear of the home and confronted the victim. The suspect assaulted the victim and demanded money before fleeing. A brief foot chase ensued but officers were able to apprehend the suspect and place him under arrest. The suspect was identified as Dustin Trevor Reed. The victim was not seriously injured in this incident. Reed was charged accordingly and transported to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
