22-05443 - Theft - 800 block of Monroe St. 

On 3/10/22 at approximately 3:30pm, officers conducted a telephone reporting call with a complainant in reference to a stolen package. Officers were advised that the complainant ordered an Iphone 13 Pro Blue 128GB which was marked as being delivered 03/09/2022 by UPS. It is believed that the phone was delivered but the package was stolen from the complainant's door step. The phone was valued at $1,000. 


22-5458 - 1000 block of Madison St - Aggravated Assault/Theft 

On 03/10/2022 at approximately 7:00pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Madison Street in reference to a reported assault and theft. The victim stated he purchased a 2006 Red Nissan Murano via Facebook Marketplace for $1500 within the last two weeks, and was supposed to make the final $500 payment to two individuals today in exchange for the vehicle's title. However when the two individuals came to collect the final payment, they also took the vehicle, striking the victim with the vehicle as they were fleeing the scene. Minor lacerations were sustained.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
