22-03811 - Assault/Destruction of property - 100 block of West St.

On 02/18/2022 Officers responded to the 100 block of West Street for a reported assault. The victim advised an unknown male subject swung an axe at him after a verbal altercation. The victim was not injured but his vehicle was damaged by the axe. The suspect was not located or identified.

22-03893 - Theft - 100 block of Obery Ct.

On 2/19/2022 Officers responded to the 100 block of Obery Court for a theft at a residence. The victim advised that several items were stolen from her residence to include a TV, purse and bicycle. It is unclear at this time who had access to the residence, forced entry was not made. The value of the stolen items are unknown.

22-03898 - Theft from vehicle - 600 block of Broach Ct.

On 2/19/2022 Officers responded to the 600 block of Broach Ct. for a theft from a vehicle. The victim said that an unknown person unlawfully entered his vehicle sometime overnight. A wallet was stolen from the vehicle but later recovered in a neighbor's yard. Nothing else was reported stolen from the vehicle.

22-03999 Theft- 300 block of Severn Ave.

On 2/20/2022 Officers responded to the 300 block of Severn Ave. for a reported theft of services. The manager of the business advised that two people left the restaurant without paying for their meal. The total bill had a total of $282.27.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
