22-2887- Assault- 1300 block of Tyler Avenue
On 2/8/22 at approximately 3:45pm, officers responded to the 1300 block of Tyler Ave. for a reported assault. The complainant advised her daughter was assaulted on 02/06/2022. The juvenile advised she allowed her friend into her home and he began to display strange behavior. She then asked the male subject to leave the residence at which time he strangled her for approximately 3 seconds and shoved her. This investigation is ongoing.

22-2927 - Theft - Unit block of West Street
On 2/8/22 at approximately 9:15am, officers responded to the unit block of West Street for the report of a theft. Officers met with the owner of the business who advised that an employee stole money from the business. An arrangement has been made for the money to be paid back. No charges were filed in this incident.

22-2971-Theft from vehicle- 300 block of Center Street

On 2/8/22 at approximately 5:05pm, officers responded to the 300 block of Center Street for a reported theft from a vehicle. Upon arrival officers met with the complainant who said she parked her vehicle at the bottom of the cul de sac on Center St. on 2/7/22. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered that someone had stolen a bag containing approximately $30.00 in loose change from the vehicle.

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
