22-01515 - Unit block of Hudson St - Theft

On 1-21-22 at approximately 7:02pm, officers responded for a reported theft in the unit block of Hudson Street. The victim said that the registration sticker was stolen from the license plate of his vehicle. It is believed that the theft occurred sometime overnight.

22-1548 - Assault 1st degree- Rowe Blvd/ Farragut Rd

On 1-22-22 at approximately 9:07am, officers responded to the area of Rowe Blvd. and Taylor Ave. for a reported road rage incident. The victim advised that a subject pointed a handgun at him as he was driving. The victim provided a detailed description of the suspect along with the vehicle that he was operating. The suspect was located by officers in the area of West Street and Church Circle. Officers did not locate a handgun but did locate a taser along with 197.9 grams of marijuana and 5.6 grams of cocaine. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged accordingly.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
