Parent & Tot Gymnastics Age 12-36 months with parentsParents will accompany and assist their young children through activities focusing on basic motor skills such as crawling, walking, jumping, grip strength and balance. Parent participation is required during every class.

Rhythm & Hip-Hop Age 5-12Jazz & hip-hop moves will keep you on your toes! Students will learn to dance in a group setting and develop different combinations. This class will be a great learning environment to acquire rhythm and beat. You will be able to take the dance moves and develop your own personal style! 8 weeks, held in PMRC Studio A.

Kids Day In – Monday, January 31 and Monday, February 21!School is out and it is time to play! Come join us when school is closed for a fun-filled day of supervised activities. Games, crafts, sports and more! Led by our licensed childcare staff. Must be pre-registered to attend. Bring a bag lunch and drink. For ages 4-12 (Pre-K through fifth grade.) Sweetheart Dance – Friday, February 11, 6:30-8:30 pmYou are cordially invited to the 2022 Sweetheart Dance! This family-friendly Valentine’s Day celebration is open to all parents/caregivers and their children. Come out for an evening of dancing and delicious treats. A special keepsake photograph will be given to each family included in the registration price. Advanced registration required. Each additional child is $15. Dress attire is semi-formal.

5th Annual Pass, Pick & Play –
sports equipment donations accepted start Monday, January 31!Pass, Pick & Play is an effort that provides children from financially-challenged families in the Annapolis area with free sporting goods. Pass, Pick & Play is a community-wide effort across all youth age groups. The sports equipment donation drive will start Monday, January 31 and go through Friday, March 11. To drop off gently-used sports equipment, please go to one of the following locations:
• “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center (PMRC)
• The Key School
• Calvary United Methodist Church
• Anne Arundel Medical Center
• Discoveries: The Library at the Mall

Fencing Age 7-13 – register for March classes now!Come learn the art of Fencing, a growing program in the area! Learn the basics of fencing including rules, fundamentals, and footwork – which can help improve skill for other sports. Equipment is provided except for gloves. Gloves are required and can be purchased from instructor Larbi Soufianne during the first class. 8 weeks, held in PMRC Aux Gym.

Child Care registration is ongoing as space allows – Childcare for the current academic year is held before and after school at Annapolis, Germantown, Hillsmere, Mills-Parole and West Annapolis elementary schools.
AM Care is $117 per month and PM Care is $222 per month.
All registration must be done in person at PMRC (sorry, online registration is not available for childcare.) There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee. For more information, please contact

Scholarship Program for all City Residents (youth and adults)The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD) maintains a Scholarship Fund for youth and adults who are City of Annapolis residents who do not have the financial means to participate in fee-based ARPD recreational programs, memberships and pool passes as long as applicable and approved. (Scholarship funds cannot be used for facility rentals, before/after school child care and “co-sponsored” programs.) Scholarships are awarded by means of account credit, and may or may not cover the entire cost of the program(s). Details about the ARPD Scholarship Program and how to apply can be found online.
