22-0392 - Burglary - 100 block of Forbes St On 1/6/22 at 9:15am, officers responded to the 100 block of Forbes Street in reference to a burglary that had been discovered. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who stated she arrived at work at 7:00am and witnessed the building unsecured. The employee conducted her morning opening routine which included leaving the business to acquire refreshments. When she returned, she witnessed an unidentified black female in the foyer of the building who appeared to be homeless. As employees began their day, the female left, and they witnessed the following items had been stolen: several snack bags of cookies and chips, unknown amount of spare change, four cans of Lysol disinfectant spray, and a black hooded sweatshirt. The company does not wish to pursue charges.
22-0418 - 2nd Degree Burglary - 1100 block of Primrose Ct On 1/6/22 at 2:18pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of Primrose Court in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who stated that yesterday he secured the company’s golf cart in their maintenance shed at approximately 4:50pm and when he returned to the shed this morning at 10:00am he witnessed the shed door open and the golf cart stolen. The property was valued at $5,000.
22-0419 - Theft - 600 block of Taylor Ave On 1/6/22 at 2:30pm, officers responded to the 600 block of Taylor Ave. in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers were given a description of the fleeing suspect vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. After speaking with the complainant, the suspects were interviewed, they waived Miranda, and the front seat passenger, Sherrie Franklin, admitted to the theft. Franklin was subsequently charged for theft on a criminal citation for theft $100-$1,500.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
