22-00064-Theft- Unit block of Southgate Ave
On 1/1/22 at approximately 4:35pm, officers responded to the unit block of Southgate Ave in reference to a stolen MD temporary plate. Upon arrival the victim advised she noticed her paper MD temporary plate was missing from the rear of her 2022 Hyundai Ioniq .

22-00038-Theft- 500 block of S. Cherry Grove Ave
On 1/1/22 at approximately 8:58am, officers responded to the 500 block of S Cherry Grove in reference to a shoplifting. The business employee advised he noticed an unknown individual placing merchandise in a bag, and exiting the store without paying. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results. It is unknown what was actually stolen from the business at this time.

22-00109- Theft- 400 block of Sixth St

On 1/2/22 At approximately 12:29pm, officers responded to the 400 block of Sixth Street in reference to a theft of services. The manager of the establishment advised that a group of individuals entered the restaurant and consumed a meal. After eating they left without paying, total loss to the business was $387.00.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
