21-35837 - Assault - 1100 block of Spa Rd.

On 12/29/21 at approximately 10:25am, officers were in the 1100 block of Hilltop Lane when they were approached by a victim that was assaulted. The victim said that he was assaulted by a person known to him. The victim reported being struck in the head with a can of crab meat which caused a laceration to his head. The suspect who was on scene was placed under arrest for the assault. The suspect was identified as Keith Leslie Brown 7/8/1958. Brown was charged accordingly for the assault. The victim was treated on scene for his injuries.

21-35861 - Theft F/Veh. - Unit block of Franklin St.

On 12/29/21 at approximately 3:45pm, officers responded to the unit block of Franklin Street for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown subject entered his parked 2014 Honda CRV and rummaged through the center console resulting in the theft of approximately $100.00 (US Currency) from the vehicle.

21-35875 - Theft - 1900 block of Copeland St.

On 12/29/21 at approximately 7:57pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Copeland Street for a report of a stolen gun. The victim advised that an unknown person stole her Glock 26 9mm handgun along with a magazine and 10 bullets. The victim advised that several individuals had access to her residence at the time of the theft.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
