21-33112 - Theft - 100 block of Victor Pkwy.

On 11/22/21 at approximately 8:50am, officers responded to a reported fraud that occurred in the 100 block of Victor Parkway. The victim advised that she was contacted by a person who said they were a representative for Amazon. The unknown person requested personal information from the victim in order to provide her with a refund. The victim provided the requested information and later learned that $1800 was withdrawn from her bank account. The victim has since reported the fraudulent withdrawal to her banking institution.

21-33114 - Theft from vehicle - 1100 block of Cove Rd.

On 11/22/21 at approximately 8:49am, officers responded to a reported theft from a vehicle that occurred in the 1100 block of Cove Road. The victim said that her vehicle was broken into sometime overnight. The victim said that the unknown person took a set of work tools valued at $150.

21-33195 - Shots Fired - 700 block of Newtowne Dr.

On 11/23/21 at approximately 2:20am, officers responded to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive for the report of shots being fired. Upon officers arrival they located evidence that were consistent with shots being fired. The evidence was collected and turned in for processing, no victims or suspects were located.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
