Annapolis Police Department Daily Report

21-32903- Unit block of Gentry Ct- Burglary
On November 19, 2021 at approximately 7:37am, officers responded to the unit block of Gentry Court in reference to a reported open door of a residence. Upon arrival the neighbor advised he walked his dog at around 4:00am and noticed the door was open and just thought the homeowner was outside. At approximately 7:30am , he walked past the home again and noticed that the door was still open and called the police. Upon further investigation it appeared that the front door had been kicked in and the back door that leads to the back patio had been shattered. 

21-32922- 1000 block of Park Ave- Theft
On November 19, 2021 at approximately 2:00pm, officers spoke with a victim in reference to  a theft of a package. The victim stated Fedex left the package on his porch and when he got home from work the package was gone.  Victim advised the item that was stolen was Transformer toys that were valued at $180.00.

21-33050 -President St/Monroe St -Shots Fired
On November 21, 2021 at approximately 3:35am, Annapolis Police Department communications began receiving calls in reference to shots being fired in the Harbour House neighborhood. Officers responded to the area but were unable to locate a crime scene, victims or a suspect.

At approximately 7:41 am officers who were still patrolling the area located spent shell casings in the intersection of President St and Monroe St.. The spent casings were collected and submitted for processing.

21-33048 - 1100 block of Van Buren Street -Shots Fired
On November 21, 2021 at approximately 4:56am, officers were still in the area of Harbour House and Eastport Terrace due to the earlier reports of shots fired. While in the area officers heard several more shots being fired. The officers could not determine an exact location of the shots and again no crime scene, victim or suspect were located.

At approximately 1:14pm, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Van Buren Street in reference to a report of destruction of property. The home owner told officers that in the middle of the night he heard several shots being fired. The victim later discovered that his bathroom window had been shot out. A projectile was located in the bathroom, officers recovered the projectile and submitted it for processing.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
