21-32875 - Fatal vehicle collision - 1100 block of Tyler Avenue

On 11/18/2021 at approximately 5:36pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of Tyler Ave. for a reported motor vehicle collision. Officers arrived on scene to find a vehicle overturned with the driver trapped inside. The vehicle operator was declared to be deceased on scene by paramedics. Crash reconstructionist responded to the scene to assume the investigation.

21-32892 - Shots fired - 1100 block of Madison Street

On 11/18/2021 at approximately 11:21pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of Madison Street for the report of multiple shots fired. Officers discovered the entry door to the 1110 building had been shot out. Officers canvassed the area and located shell casings in the roadway of Madison Street. No injuries were reported in this incident and the person(s) responsible was not located.

No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
