21-31961- Shots Fired- Clay St./ Town Pines Ct.
On 11/5/2021 at approximately 1:29 pm, officers responded to the area of Clay Street and Town Pines Court for a report of shots fired. An off duty officer was in the area and heard the shots at which point it was reported to APD communications. Officers arrived on scene and located a crime scene where evidence was located and collected. There were no reported injuries and it is believed that the suspect(s) fled the area in a vehicle.
21-21978- Shooting- 1400 block of Tyler Ave.
On 11/5/2021 at approximately 4:33pm, officers responded to the 1400 block of Tyler Ave. for a reported shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival officers located an adult male who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered medical attention until the Annapolis Fire Department arrived and took over. The victim was airlifted to an area trauma center where he was treated for his injuries.
21-31991 - Shooting - 1000 block of President St.
On 11/5/2021 at approximately 8:15pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of President Street for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was airlifted to an area trauma center with serious injuries.
21-32100 - Assault - 1100 block of Frederick Douglas St.
On 11/7/2021 officers responded to the 1100 block of Frederick Douglas Street for a reported assault. An adult female was placed under arrest and transported to the Annapolis Police Department to be processed. During transport the female became combative and assaulted multiple officers by kicking and biting them. One officer was sent to the hospital due to the assault and the suspect was eventually transported to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department is accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive until 11/17. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries.
What we need:
5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food.
Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
