21-31896 - Fraud - 400 block of Severn Ave.
On 11/4/2021 at approximately 1:20pm, officers responded to the 400 block of Severn Avenue for an apparent fraud. Officers were advised that a check was fraudulently written and cashed for the amount of $9,000. The check was cashed in another state and that jurisdiction has been contacted and notified of the incident.
21-31916 - Shots Fired/Destruction of Property - Unit block of Bens Dr.
On 11/4/2021 at approximately 8:33pm, officers responded to the area of Bens Dr and Marcs Ct. for the report of Shots Fired. Officers located multiple shell casings in the intersection and bullet projectile fragments on the stairwell of the 2 Bens Dr building. Officers located a vehicle that was struck during the shots being fired, along with the stairwell of the 2 Bens Dr building.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department is accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive until 11/17. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries.
What we need:
5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food.
Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
