21-31800 - Unattended Death - 600 block of Belle Dr.
On 11/3/2021 at approximately 7:30am, officers from the Annapolis Police Department responded to the 600 block of Belle Drive for the report of an unattended death. When officers arrived they located a 72 year-old female victim. Preliminary investigation reveals the incident does not appear to be criminal in nature. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending confirmation that the extended family has been notified.
21-31821 - Shooting - Cypress Rd. & Bay Ridge Ave.
On 11/3/2021 at approximately 1:30pm, officers responded to the area of Cypress Road and Bay Ridge Road for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male shooting victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

21-31824 - Burglary - 1000 block of Paddington Pl.
On 11/3/2021 at approximately 1:53pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Paddington Place for a reported burglary that just occurred. The homeowner reported that an unknown male entered her home through a rear sliding door that was unlocked. The unknown person displayed a handgun and pointed it at the resident prior to fleeing out the same door that he entered. The resident was unharmed and the suspect was not located. An extensive search of the area yielded negative results for the suspect.
21-31861 -Attempt Robbery - 300 block of Atwater Dr.
On 11/3/2021 at approximately 11:30pm, officers responded to Atwater Drive in reference to an attempted robbery. The victim stated that a male subject approached on foot and asked for change for a $100 bill. When she advised she did not have change, she began to walk towards her car. The subject then demanded money from her and held his finger to her back. The victim, a corrections officer, identified herself as an officer and the subject became startled and fled across the Annapolis Walk field towards Bywater Road. Nothing was taken. A check of the area yielded negative results for the suspect.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department is accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive until 11/17. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries.
What we need:
5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food.
Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
