Three Hours Free Holiday Parking in Downtown Starts This Month

The City of Annapolis is happy to bring back free parking at metered spaces in downtown. The popular program, which takes place between Thanksgiving and New Years, includes three hours free, plus a bonus hour using the ParkMobile app. Paired with other free parking options downtown (Residents Park Free and Park, Shop & Dine), residents and visitors have every reason to do all their holiday shopping and dining right here in Annapolis! 

Small Business Saturday is November 27

Saturday, November 27, 2021 is Small Business Saturday – a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. This year, small businesses need support now more than ever as they navigate, retool and pivot from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Please join SBA and organizations across the country in supporting your local small businesses by shopping at a small business. 

Annapolis Tornado Disaster Recovery Micro Grant

The Disaster Recovery Micro Grant through AAEDC can help with recovery from the damage and/or pause in operations sustained from the tornado. The grants will be up to $5,000 per business and proceeds can be used for any legitimate business expense related to sustaining or restarting operations. Examples of eligible uses include physical property repairs, replacement of business equipment, replacement of inventory, lease/rental support, vendor bill support or moving expenses support. VOLT Disaster Recovery Relief Program 

Available through AAEDC, the VOLT Disaster Recovery Relief Program provides grants of up to $50,000 to help businesses recover from the damage and pause in operations sustained as a result of the storm and coastal flooding that impacted Anne Arundel County on Oct. 29-30. For more assistance for businesses impacted by the recent severe flooding, visit Annapolis Flooding Business Resources.

Heavy Duty Surface Mounted Ramp Lift

The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed bids for a replacement of one (1) heavy-duty vehicle lift until 2:00 p.m., local time, on November 9, 2021. 

Generator and Associated Items

 
The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed bids for a generator and associated items until 2:00 p.m., local time, Monday, November 15, 2021.

Range Hood Replacement - Taylor Avenue Fire Station

The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed bids for range hood replacement services until 2:00 P. M., local time, Wednesday, November 30, 2021. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials, equipment and supervision for the removal of the existing grease duct and capping of the existing roof penetration, removal of the existing roof mounted hood exhaust fan and cap penetration, cutting off duct at the 2nd floor mechanical room, cleaning out the duct and cap and related site improvements  at the Taylor Avenue Fire Station located in west Annapolis.
