21-31416 - 1000 block of Bay Ridge Avenue - Theft 

On 10/29/21 officers responded to the 1000 block of Bay Ridge Avenue for a reported theft that just occurred. A description of the suspect vehicle was broadcasted and the vehicle was located nearby by a responding officer. After initiating a traffic stop the driver/ suspect was arrested and the stolen items were recovered. A total of $21.71 in make-up items were recovered. The suspect was identified as Bryona Parker 11/28/1997. Parker was charged accordingly for the theft. 


21-31476 -  Madison and President Street-Aggravated Assault 

On 10/30/21 officers responded to AAMC for a reported aggravated assault that was believed to have happened in the area of Madison and President Street. The adult male victim reported being cut with a knife by an unknown suspect while walking in that area. It was determined that the victim and at least one other unknown person were involved in an altercation. During the altercation the victim was cut on the hand with a knife. The victims injuries were not considered to be serious in nature. There is no threat to the general public as this appears to be an isolated incident. 


21-31563  - 500 block of S. Cherry Grove Ave. - Theft

On 10/31/21 officers responded to the 500 block of South Cherry Grove Ave. for a reported theft that just occurred. The store manager advised that an unknown female entered the store's restroom with a handful of merchandise. When the female exited the restroom she had less merchandise in her hands. The female left the store without paying for the items and was not located. After completing an inventory it is believed that the female stole approximately $80.00 in lotions, Tide laundry detergent and earrings. 


21-31616 - 900 block of Van Buren St. - Theft

On 10/31/21 officers responded to the 900 block of Vanburen Street for a reported theft of a cellular phone. The victim advised that she sat her Iphone 12 on a table to assist someone. When she returned her phone was gone. 



Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department is accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive until 11/17. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries.
 
What we need:
 5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food.
 
Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
