21-30754 - Theft - 1900 block of West St.

On 10/21/21 at approximately 9:54am, officers responded to a business located in the 1900 block of West Street for a reported theft that just occurred. Upon arrival officers learned that a male subject stole a CBD flower from the business valued at $20.00. The subject was last seen leaving the area in a vehicle.


21-30755 - Fraud - 100 block of Clay St.

On 10/21/21 at approximately 9:59 am, officers responded to a reported fraud. The victim advised that she was contacted by BB&T bank in reference to her account. The victim advised that she does not have an account with that banking institution. It was determined that someone gained access to the victims personal information at which point the account was fraudulently opened. 


21-30761 - Theft - 300 block of Old Solomons Island Rd.

On 10/21/21 at approximately 11:57am, officers responded to a business located in the 300 block of Old Solomons Island Road for a reported theft. The receptionist at the business reported that an unknown person stole several outdoor plants in the past week. The total loss value to the business was $300.00. 


21-30763 - Burglary - 200 block of S. Southwood St. 

On 10/21/21 at approximately 12:17pm, officers responded to the 200 block of South Southwood Street for a reported burglary. The care taker of the residence said that it was vacant but someone broke in but stole nothing. The locks on the residence have since been replaced.  


21-30783 - Theft - Unit block of Melrob Ct.

 On 10/21/21 officers responded to the unit block of Melrob Court for a reported theft. A maintenance worker advised that his company owned golf cart was stolen while he was in the area doing work. Two male subjects who appeared to be in their 20's were seen driving away on the golf cart. Total loss value was $6,000.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
