21-30574 - Theft from Auto - 1100 block of Bay Ridge Ave.
On 10/19/21 at approximately 10:59am, officers were dispatched to a telephone reporting call in reference to a theft from auto. Officers spoke with the complainant, who stated that someone had unlawfully entered his unsecured vehicle sometime between 8:00pm on 10/18/2021 and 9:30am on 10/19/2021. When the victim returned to his vehicle he realized that it had been rummaged through and that $380.00 was stolen from the center console.

On 10/19/21 at approximately 10:53 am, officers were dispatched to the lobby of APD for the report of a theft from auto. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who advised that someone unlawfully entered his vehicle at approximately 10:15am on 10/17/21 and stole a code reader. The code reader was valued at $80.00.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
